Knitting with Kauni
I've been curious about Kauni yarn for some time. Picked up two skeins in the Kirkwood Knittery 50% off sale at the end of May and started making a Citron shawl (Ravelry link) with it.
Both my skeins are 150g with 656yds of sportweight yarn, I have one

FO: Dew Point Shrug
This is the first non-accessory garment I have knit entirely on my own. I had help from my mother to make the two cardigans and two sweaters I produced in the 1990s. I've knit plenty of socks, hats, shawls, and scarves since then, but no garments. Until now:
Recipe: Coconut Ice
I remember my mother making this when I was a child. It is so sweet!
* 350g (¾ pound) of sugar, preferably fine baker's sugar
* 150ml (¼ pint) milk
* 125g (4oz) coconut
* 1 or 2 drops of vanilla essence
Put the sugar and milk in a saucepan on a low heat
Tour de Fleece 2011
The 2011 Tour de France is coming up, which means the Tour de Fleece is also soon! I didn't do this in 2010, but I think it will be good to attempt this year. I have some gorgeous blue fibre on the wheel, and it would be nice
FO: Appletini socks
I have stripes! And while they don't match exactly, they both look good. I wanted to avoid an out-of-sequence stripe of pink or green after the heel turn, and both socks managed that.
Pattern: My own (picot hem, ribbing, eye of partridge heel, grafted toe)
