I had sibling cats (TJ Max Planck and Marie IKEA Curie) until Max died from lymphoma in 2023 at age 5. Hunter Yoda, a SBT Savannah, arrived in mid 2023, he delights in pouncing on Marie. I live in the American Midwest despite being British, and work in technology.

I started learning Chinese Kenpo karate at Tracy's Karate in Kirkwood in November 2008 and love it, I got my black belt on Friday 13th May, 2016. I was promoted to Sandan, third degree black belt, on Sept 19th, 2021.

I do a lot of crafts, mainly knitting and weaving on a rigid heddle loom. I also carve wooden spoons, spin yarn from fleece, doodle, and learn Hindi.

Starting in 2004, I try to write a novel every year for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November, and I've done daily diaries during several novels. I did not write in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2021, and 2022. My NaNoWriMo profile shows the past projects.

I'm working on a master's degree in data science from Maryville University in St Louis, looking to graduate in December 2024.
