2011 Resolutions
I resolve not to stab anyone in 2011. Despite many worthy candidates, this was a resolution I kept in 2010.

I made a few resolutions for 2010 though I wasn't too stressed about achieving them:

Achieved! Came close a few times, but I made it through. Practicing kata in the basement helps with the whole "not stabbing" thing.

Making glass beads
Went to Third Degree Glass Factory for their Third Friday event, which was also their eighth anniversary. I made six glass beads, and we watched them put a molten glass pumpkin into a tank of water and dry ice. It lasted a few seconds before exploding, tossing pieces of glass

I love 3-D jigsaw puzzles. Four pieces live on my shelf at work, a sapphire, a green apple, a heart, and a crescent moon. At home I have a red apple, a rose, and a four-leafed clover. This week I picked up a new one, meet Yorick the skull:

Today is the tenth of October, 2010, at 10:10am. We will not see this for another hundred years, and we only have two more days like it this century, 11th November next year, and 12th December 2012.
Karate blue belt!
I tested for my karate blue belt on 30th August, and I passed!

We had a great time, walked our feet off up and down the Strip, went to a buffet at the Bellagio, two awesome Cirque du Soleil shows (O at the Bellagio and Ka at the MGM Grand), and saw Phantom of the Opera
