End of the month week

I probably won't post this week. It's the end of the month, which means a ton of work, an inflexible deadline, lots of overtime, and desperate prayer that I won't have to go in next Saturday. See you in June.

Caffeine replacement

Somewhere in Texas had 17 inches of rain Thursday night according to the radio, which is 43cm, or nearly half a metre. I'm still a metric girl, it makes much more sense just to slam on an extra zero or power of ten and keep making up great

House related panic

The house external-scrape-and-paint job starts on Friday. The fence rip-out-and-replace job starts when the wood arrives at the fencing company. Both jobs will be finished hopefully by the end of this month but I get twitchy and panicky about spending large sums of money.

Motivation

It was an accidental purchase. We were in England, in Bournemouth, which is on the south coast, and it got cold. Foolishly I had not brought a coat, not even a summer coat. Summer coats are for when it's too warm for the winter coat, but too cold

VLI Intensive weekend

The first VLI Intensive for this semester is in my living room, lectures on Johannine Literature and Theology all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon/evening. I was planning to break the yarn diet and visit my two favourite yarn stores. Instead, thanks to a dental mishap with some bread this
