Paul's birthday

Went to Crestwood Mall with Larry and Sarah, ended up playing with a Pug puppy in the pet shop. It was a small size puppy in a large size skin, with the biggest, widest feet I have ever seen on a toy dog. Very cute.

Job hunting

Applied for six jobs today, three yesterday. It's galling the number of senior posts I could get if I had, oh, four more years experience. How on earth do you get the experience when no-one lets you experience anything?

Jewellery and jobs

Voice Mail Hell

I really, really, really, hate phoning the health insurance company. First I called the number on my card, went through two voice mail menus, waited five minutes and talked to someone who was very nice, but said I had to call another number because another company was responsible for refusing

Paul changed a whole pile of things to access a static runtime config object, and the database format changed. It's five minutes to ten, I dropped Paul off, got the groceries, got a box from Mailboxes Etc to pack the PayDay bars in, transferred the code from desktop
