Civilisation one, Evil ugly plants nil

Fulfilled one of my gardening ambitions by destroying the ugly pampas grass squatting on the corner of our yard.  Initial attack with the loppers was followed by a shearing frenzy, some fork work, and finally a good raking.  Couldn't evict the roots, so we settled for pouring about a quarter gallon of RoundUp on them.  That should get rid of the thing, it's killed everything else we've used it on.  Maybe we should just RoundUp the whole yard and have done with it.  Filled three sacks of yard waste between that and the plant trying to eat the fence.
