We were in a pretty decent mood for the Alpha kick off last night, and it went really well.  Interesting mix of people at all stages of faith.  Emily and Steven did a sterling job of encouraging people to stay the full ten weeks.  Had to explain the British meaning of "prefect" to the Americans.  I ought to keep track of all the Queen's English we translate and make up a list.  Boiler, the Tube, and squash usually fuddle people (water heater, London Underground train system, racketball).
