Memphis training

Drove down on Sunday for four days of training.  Nice hotel, but a pitifully small conference room.  Halfway through Monday's session, we were moved to the Forest Ballroom of the Peabody Hotel.  Marble floors.  Chandeliers.  Coffee in silver pots.  Live ducks parading around the fountain in the lobby.  We took our morning break on Tuesday so all the QA nerds could go see the ducks coming down for the day.

This was the longest time I've ever been away from Hubby.  He's done week-long business trips before now, but this is my first, called him every day at least twice.  It was weird.  Never spent that much time with my supervisor before, we drove down together, went out every night together, and drove back together.

Got one of those thermal-shock colds (hot outside, cold ballroom) and snuffled all Thursday.  Finished a sock, started the Juno Regina scarf, posted a few tweets, read a good chunk of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", and ate good barbecue at BB King's and Rendez Vous.  So glad to be home!
