Going Independant

This is way too much fun: I have my own NationState, my own flag, heck, even a national animal.  The site is a way for Max Barry to promote his new book, "Jennifer Government."

Civil Rights: Below Average

Economy: Reasonable

Political Freedoms: Excellent
Location: Europe

The Principality of Quantum Tea is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.
The enormous government concentrates mainly on Religion & Spirituality, although Health care and Social Welfare are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 31%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Furniture Restoration and Uranium Mining.
Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Quantum Tea's national animal is the Meerkat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the tea leaf.

Not sure how that civil rights thing got there.  I'm not an oppressive dictator, honest!  I want to get into the UN so I can vote to end slavery.  They already passed resolutions to remove region coding from DVDs, and give all children under 16 a free education.  If only the real UN was this much fun.
