Spinning FO: Burning Embers Silk

So that's what skein winders are for!  This is 2 ply silk, looking suspiciously thin:

Thin silk skein.

2oz hand-dyed tussah silk from Spunky Eclectic in Burning Embers

364 yds, wheel-spun 2 ply, fingering to laceweight.

Three hundred and sixty four yards!  Skeined this on a niddy noddy and it took a while.  I spun it as an experiment to see how thin I could get the singles.  Thin silk was easier to achieve than thin wool, but I made the goal of fingering weight or thinner.  Also learned more about what the tension on the wheel should be with this skein.  I think it turned out pretty well.
