Writers Under The Arch

I want a t-shirt that says: "I read my story at WUTA and survived."  Tuesday night was our first Writers Under The Arch (WUTA) meeting.  There were three NaNoWriMo veterans besides me and Hubby, and a whole bunch of people who have had stories published.  You reads your work, and everyone else comments on it.  Simple and scary.

Took my mystery story along and Michael was kind enough to read it for me.  When I get nervous, I get quiet, and I was very nervous.  But they gave me a metric shedload of great feedback, and I'm going to rewrite the story to incorporate some of it.  The fearsome ogres I was afraid of were actually nice people with excellent suggestions.  When I've got the next story in a fit state, I'll take that along too.
