Just rewards

I ordered some fibre from Susan's Spinning Bunny as my reward for completing my NaNoWriMo novel this year, and it has arrived:

Bunny batt and Panda top.

(I'm having a hard time taking good photos because the sun is setting earlier, so the colours you see are not necessarily accurate.)

I've never spun a batt before.  This one on the left is angora, merino, and silk, probably an ounce of fibre.  I was expecting it to be more orange, but pink and yellow should blend into a good colour.  It's not going to be enough to do much with, but it'll be a learning experience.  It'll be my first time spinning angora too.  I have some I got at Maryland and haven't had the nerve to try and spin yet.

The bump on the right is Panda top, 60% superwash merino, 30% bamboo, and 10% nylon.  I was expecting the Sunrise colour to be more orange, but this could be fun as a little lace scarf.  I'm producing a consistent 3 ply light sport weight yarn on the wheel.  The 4oz ball of Cormo is nearly spun, I'd like to ply it over Christmas and see if I can knit a hat from the Jacob I spun earlier in the year.
